# Execution of Jan Hus (1415)

The Czech reformer Jan Hus is burned at Constance despite a promise of safe conduct. At this point in the timeline (6 July 1415), the Bishop of Rome was Pope Gregory XII (30 November 1406 – 4 July 1415). His claim was contested by Antipope Benedict XIII, Antipope John XXIII.
